2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Schedule Released

The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule has been released, and race fans across the country and around the world will be delighted to see some exciting new changes.

Perhaps the most exciting news is that a new track will be added to the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule.

Kentucky Speedway is a one and a half mile tri-oval with fourteen degree banked turns. It has a capacity of sixty-six thousand seats. With their first event scheduled for July 9, rest assured the track will be loose and fast.

Tickets went on sale November 1st this year, so there’s plenty of time, but good tickets are sure to sell out fast, so it’s probably best to act as soon as possible to get the best seats.

Unfortunately, when new tracks arrive, some have to go too, and this time, Atlanta Motor Speedway is the odd one out. A large number of tracks in the south and dismal ticket sales led to its demise, but there is still an event scheduled for next year. Hopefully that improves the situation for fans in and around Atlanta.

However, Atlanta isn’t the only race track to experience delayed ticket sales. The fact is that ticket sales in recent years have been down all over the NASCAR circuit. One can only hope that 2011 will show a huge improvement in ticket revenue.

This can become a great advantage for racing fans. Tickets once thought impossible to obtain are now actually almost plentiful. For example, Bristol Motor Speedway, the track considered by many to be a mecca for short-course fans, had tickets on sale on race day last year.

Although you need to act early to get the best seats, it’s almost certain that you’ll be able to find tickets to all venues for the 2011 season.
