Personal growth exercise to increase your attention span

Stretching exercises for your mind increase your attention span. That makes a difference in your life!

That’s why I do certain tasks. I have created small specific exercises for myself.

These are mostly just silly little things. However, it makes a difference. Increases my will and ability to concentrate!

For example, I like to read.

Therefore, I have chosen to use reading as a way to expand my mind.

That might work for you.

Do you like to read?

If so, choosing reading as a way to expand your mind might work for you too.

It’s a good way to stretch your mind if you’re having fun.

I think it’s best to choose an activity that you enjoy. So if you don’t experience reading as a pleasurable option, I think you should choose something different for yourself.

Reading increases your ability to concentrate.

For example, if you read a little each day, your attention span will become stronger and longer.

If you don’t like to read, you can find other ways that work for you.

Not the television!

TV commercials tend to shorten your attention span.

I suggest you avoid television. Avoid it at least for this particular purpose! That kind of activity won’t work.

Short scenes on commercial television are more likely to shorten your attention span. So even when you cut out the commercials, you’re not doing yourself a favor by using commercial TV as a personal growth strategy.

On the other hand, if you have educational movies, that could work.

It depends on how the movie is organized. Specifically, the length of the segments that grab your attention.

The idea is to find something that has a start, middle, and end time frame for you.

This is how you start to focus. Once you start, your attention remains on what you are doing. You learn to remain engaged in the task of watching the movie you chose.

As you approach the midpoint of your concentration time, your attention remains fixed.

Keeping your attention alive and real during all that time matters.

Then, when you get to the end of the time you’re spending in the educational program, you switch from what you’ve been doing to what you want to do next.

The idea? Go to the bottom. That way you focus in a way that allows you to fully concentrate for a significant amount of time. Personal growth is your result.
