real estate postcard merchandising; Million dollar mail

Real estate postcard marketing is an underused real estate marketing strategy known to many, but used by few. The proof? How many agents do you know who market real estate with postcards? Not many, that’s what I thought!

However, those who do maintain high visibility with their prospects. From helpful tips to delicious recipes, personalized real estate marketing postcards can leave lasting positive impressions about you and your services at affordable prices.

I like to market real estate with postcards for several reasons:

1. They are cheap: You can cast a wide net and reach many people for a little bit of nothing. And as you know, or will soon learn, repeated contact with prospects is key to brand identity. You want buyers and sellers to think of you when they are ready to make a real estate transaction; which you can achieve more easily when you have repeated contacts with them. A series of real estate marketing postcards will do that for you.

2. They’re easy to get started: It takes little time to reach millions or thousands of prospects through real estate postcard marketing.

Here’s a great way to use them. Sew a neighborhood to farm; condos, high-end homes, estates, move-in houses, or whatever.

Then send postcards to homeowners on a routine basis. Maybe once a month, with special emphasis on holidays. Or maybe it’s every two months.

As frequent as it is, your postcards should be interesting enough that your prospects want to receive them, but not so often that they are annoying.

Fortunately, you don’t have to spend time and energy designing and printing your own postcards. There are several companies that produce stunning Real Estate Postcards; ready to address and mail. They’re cute, charming, and almost deadly effective.

Even if you’re a do-it-yourself type and like the idea of having a software program to design your own, you can’t go wrong with ready-made ones.

As a real estate agent, you need to generate leads; buyers for listings and sellers who want to list their properties. You should also take every opportunity to promote yourself. With real estate postcard marketing you can:

use your real estate marketing postcards as an extension of your Business Cards. You could include your real-world address, phone number, and website address if you’re comfortable with that. The key is to include information that makes it easy for someone to contact you.

Use your real estate marketing postcards to advertise new listings. For example, advertise your $2 million dollar listing to a $750,000.00 neighborhood. Heck, it doesn’t even have to be your listing, and you can still implement this idea.

This is what I mean! Select 4-5 million dollar homes that you would like to sell, which can be listed by any agency at any agency. Get to know them as if they were your own listings.

Next, select a neighborhood, or neighborhoods, of 200-500 homes where values are $500,000.00 or so. More or less is fine, but the idea is to select homes that are worth several hundred thousand dollars or more. The idea will not work if there is only a difference of $20,000.00.

Select a series of real estate postcards to send to homeowners in the targeted neighborhoods. A series of letters will work, but you can make a bigger, more lasting impression with postcards. Take a look at some Real Estate Postcards and you’ll see what I mean. The postcards should appeal to your desire to “move” to bigger and/or more expensive houses.

Send a postcard once a month.

Then get ready for some business. You will get potential buyers interested in what you have to sell who will also be prospects for new listings. Can you imagine getting sales this way? What about the listings?

When you use this strategy, you’ll start building relationships with people that will translate into sales and listings, and you’ll reap the rewards of your efforts over and over again.

A real estate postcard marketing campaign will allow you to frequently and cheaply market real estate postcards to the masses, and as you know, the more frequent your contacts with prospective clients, the better your results.
