The Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller Vs The BOB Revolution Stroller

Okay, you’re caught between the Jeep Overland Limited jogging stroller and the BOB Revolution stroller. I can see why, both are extremely well built, with comfortable child seats equipped with a 5-point child safety harness and various recline positions, adjustable rain / sun canopies, large storage space under the seat, parking brakes and running straps. Both the Jeep and the BOB also have rave reviews. This could be a tough call, however there are some unique features that set these two jogging strollers apart. Let’s take a look, shall we?

First of all, the suspension systems. The Jeep Overland offers a spring suspension system, which makes the ride extremely smooth. The BOB Revolution offers a shock absorbing suspension system, also soft, however the shocks of the BOB can be adjusted, depending on the terrain and the weight of your growing child. The maximum weight of the BOB Revolution is 70 pounds, while the Jeep Jogger only goes up to 45 pounds. The BOB Revolution also weighs less, 23 pounds compared to Jeep’s 28 pounds. Five pounds may sound like a lot, but when you examine what you get with that extra 5 pounds, it doesn’t seem too bad. The Jeep Overland Jogging Stroller comes with many extras including a kid’s snack tray with cup holders, a handbrake for those steeper hills, an adjustable handle with multiple heights and different angles, as well as a parent tray with a pull system. iBaby sound. that gives you and your child the ability to hear tunes on the go. The parent tray also includes cup holders and storage for keys, cell phone, etc. With all those extras it seems like a pretty simple decision, however there are still a couple of very important key features to examine.

Number one, the front wheels. The Jeep comes equipped with a fixed front wheel, while the BOB offers a locking swivel front wheel. This means that when it comes to spinning the Jeep Jogging stroller, you have to do a wheelie to do it, while the BOB Revolution just spins on a dime. The reason for this is that the Jeep was designed for the “SERIOUS” racer, and the BOB was designed for the “ALMOST SERIOUS” racer. Almost serious means that you tell people that you are going for a run and end up walking very fast 80% of the time. Hey … I’m not making fun of it, I’m the “ALMOST SERIOUS, BUT NOT SO MUCH, BECAUSE I’M EXTREMELY LAZY” runner. Therefore, the BOB Revolution would be more my style. I like being able to easily navigate the grocery store or tight corners without lifting the front end. I like the fact that it can lock the front caster wheel and have the added convenience of a sturdy fixed wheel when I’m “ALMOST SERIOUS” about jogging. However, what I don’t like about BOB Revolution is the price. The list price of the Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller is $ 239.99, more than a hundred dollars less than the BOB Revolution, priced at $ 389.00. That is a big difference. However, you should also be aware that the resale value of the BOB is also through the roof. You can sell a used BOB for about the same price you can buy a new Jeep Overland. The reason for this is that the BOB has a HUGE following. People love this jogging stroller. They say it’s like pushing the air, light as a feather, and worth the extra money. The Jeep has great reviews too, however I did find a few complaints about the front wheel, apparently some people bought it without realizing that the front wheel was repaired. I guess that might bother me too.

In conclusion, if you are a “SERIOUS” racer, you may want to take a better look at the Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller. If you are a “ALMOST SERIOUS” broker, you may want to consider taking out a loan to purchase the BOB Revolution stroller. Good luck, hope this helps!
