Time is more important than money
WEATHER! Every time you hear it mentioned, you can hardly end a discussion without mentioning that word. Perhaps this underscores the value and importance of time. In fact, life is the sum of the time invested, whether we like it or not, the quality of life is determined by the value given to time. The old adage is true;
TIME IS MONEY! But I will hasten to add that TIME IS MORE THAN MONEY because success in all areas of life depends on utilizing this all-important asset.
A successful person is one who manages time successfully, this requires a lot of focus and discipline that we can all learn. Every human being has 24 hours a day; Barrack Obama, Donald Trump, Bill gates. from the most successful people to the poorest in society’s cadres, everyone has the same time, the difference is how everyone uses their time. There are a number of things that go with time that I call “windows to success”; opportunity, potential, connections, initiative and knowledge. Anyone who can use these items “on time” will automatically be a hit. Let me show you how.
The journey to success begins with discovery.
POTENTIAL: The question one should ask is; “What do I have in my hand?” Potential can include things like natural talents, abilities, educational qualifications, and passion. Anyone interested in being successful should go through this self-assessment. Because this is the starting point. The second thing you must have is knowledge.
KNOWLEDGE. It is true that what you can see is what you will get out of life. Of course, we are not talking about natural sight because you may have optical sight but walk through life without a sense of direction. The view we are talking about is conceptualizing something in your mind that makes inspiration sprout in your innermost being, perception makes one see possibilities.
The insightful person does not have the word “impossible” in his vocabulary. In fact, insight is what will allow you to see an opportunity or rather “OPPORTUNITIES”. THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS THAT WE ARE SURROUNDED BY OPPORTUNITIES ALL THE TIME, perception is what makes you see these opportunities. Let me tell you a story to illustrate this point; Two friends came across a government ad saying that for every wolf a person kills, the administration would pay a thousand dollars. So the friends immediately went to the forest with ammunition in hand ready for a hunt, all day they did not find any wolves but at night while they were preparing to sleep they discovered that they were surrounded by a camp of wolves immediately one of them entered panicked and screamed “we’re dead”. But the other friend shouted excitedly “we are rich”. As you can see, they both saw the same thing, but their perception was different because they had different mentalities.
Third, you will need to know the CONNECTIONS you have, these are the relationships you have because your life will ultimately be influenced by the friends you have. If you are with pessimistic people, you will become pessimistic, if you are with guys who are positive in life, it will eventually affect you, so make sure you are with people who are adding value to your life and who believe in you. . And finally, if you are serious about success, you must have INITIATIVE. This is where the rubber meets the road, someone said “Dreamers are those who live in the world of illusions, but visionaries are those who after dreaming wake up and decide to do something about it.” It’s your choice. Do you want to be a dreamer or do you want to be a visionary?
Time management is the fundamental foundation of any successful endeavor.
