Lay a Good Foundation for Success in a Home-Based Business
When the construction foreman and his workers start building a new house, they must first start with a good foundation. The plans have been made, the lot has to be prepared and the foundations must be on solid ground. It must be strong enough to support the house that will be built on top of it.
A home-based business, or any business, must be built on a solid foundation to be successful. If not, it’s very likely to fall apart pretty quickly. Although it is difficult or impossible to correct a poor foundation in a home, business owners can go back and improve the foundation they originally had. If it doesn’t work, they can do something about it and make changes where necessary.
People in a home-based business can lay a good foundation for success by doing a few things:

2. Be willing to put in the necessary study and research to know everything you need to know
3. Set goals and remind yourself of them every day
4. Develop a business plan of how you will achieve your goals
5. Talk to others in your field who can help you
6. Think of other people you can help
7. Be determined to succeed
8. Think positively about your chance of success
9. Be dedicated and work hard
10. Be willing to persevere and endure
It may seem like a lot to learn and do, but anything worthwhile takes time and effort. A person needs to exert hard work and dedication to be successful. Some of the things on the list above need to be done immediately after entering a home based business, and most of them need to be watched continuously in order for the business to take off and grow to the heights possible.
There are many types of home based businesses. In years past, there were cottage industries such as sewing and crafts. Network marketing (MLM or multi-level marketing) has been around in one form or another for decades. The concept remains the same as people work together to generate income and are paid for the efforts of those who signed up under them. Today, there are numerous types of businesses that are basically carried out outside the home. This allows for more freedom and less expense than a traditional brick and mortar business.
