Are you soul winning as a lifestyle? Winning souls should not be a periodic thing in your life. This is because the enemy is making converts every day in multitudes. Therefore, be smarter and faster than Him so you can win more people to Christ. This post encourages you to imbue yourself with soul winning as a lifestyle.
Preach the word! Be prepared in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all patience and doctrine. Because the time will come when they will not suffer sound doctrine, but having itching ears, they will pile up teachers according to their own lusts; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and turn to fables – 2 Timothy 4:2-4 (NKJV).
Why a soul winning lifestyle?
The devil’s time is running out and he is desperate to bring many people to his damnation. And it is not the will of God that any should perish. Therefore, we need to see the urgency to win souls and lead them to success. So, it’s no longer time to win souls when it’s convenient or when you’re less busy. Rather, you must always live willing to win souls, because the workers are few and yet the harvest is full.
Christianity as a way of life
To be a Christian is to live like Christ at all times. As such, Christianity is a way of life. Therefore, it is not clothes that you put on or take off when you want. Rather, as long as you are alive, you must clothe Christ.
Let your life shine like the light that draws men to Christ. And let men see you and want to be like Jesus. The scriptures call believing Christians “Salt” that gives pleasure to the world, and “light” that gives light to the world. And you must shine so that people can see your good deeds and glorify God the Father.
You have to understand that you are no longer living for yourself but for the Lord. He paid the price of your redemption with his blood once and for all. This he did so that you might live by faith in him.
And the main thing you live for is winning souls for Christ. This is to bring people back to God, just as someone brought you back to Him.
always be ready
Therefore, always be ready to fulfill the purpose of Christ being in you, which is to reconcile the crowd to God. Therefore, prepare yourself both spiritually and physically to reach out to souls as often as opportunities present themselves. The scripture says that you must preach the gospel in season and out of season.
Every day is a day of salvation for someone and God will use whoever is available to win that soul. And it is you who decides if you will be that glass of honor that day. You will do this by being spiritually and physically alert. God will not accept excuses but he wants prompt obedience from his servants. Therefore, strive to show yourself approved of God and give yourself to prayers, so that you are always ready to win souls.
Also, know that your physical disposition determines your success in winning souls. Therefore, be cheerful, confident, clean and tidy, and behave yourself, thus representing God well. And as the saying goes, ‘You are treated according to how you are dressed.’

Our Lord Jesus lived on earth as a soul winner and every day was a day to reach souls. And he was always ready for any place where he was to be a platform to preach or teach the word and win souls. Furthermore, winning souls was the lifestyle of the disciples. In such a way that while they traveled from one place to another they preached the gospel and won souls for Christ. And they virtually lived to win souls.
Put soul winning on your TO DO LIST
As you write your ‘To Do List’, include winning souls. This will make you aware of the souls around you and will make you sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And it will make you look for opportunities to communicate with anyone you come into contact with. Therefore, it will ensure that you win souls on that day. Also, to push yourself to win souls, set goals: the number of souls you want to win for Christ each day. As you do this, God will release the wisdom and help he needs to reach his goals.
Give Glory and Thanks to God
For every soul you win to Christ you must give glory to God. And thank him for finding you worthy as a soul winner and for the soul won. This is because you have only done what is your duty.
No man can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him. So all the glory goes to Him. However, the joy of serving and pleasing God is yours, and the rewards will never elude you. Because the Lord is indeed a great rewarder.
