Used Maserati – The Beautiful Grancabrio

Masters of racing cars, Maserati have long been known for producing stunning cars, packed with dozens of curves and so enthusiastic they were practically addicted to the road. They were a brand born out of Formula One, competing with other big names like Ferrari and Lamborghini to produce blazing-fast supercars that could spin their drivers around the track in the blink of an eye.

As with most fast car brands, Maserati is also more than familiar with redesigning these asphalt-eating beasts for the more mainstream market. The resulting products were packed to the brim with gigantic engines that could break the 0-60 measurement and capitalized on that distinctive Maserati look. That look was, and still is, its main feature, above the engines and technology.

To sum it up, Maserati produces lean yet beautiful cars with wide, feminine hoods and clean lines. Whether you’re looking at the classy used Maserati or the modern beauties, these touches remain the same, each new trend is tackled with the same Maserati look. Perhaps this is what sets the brand apart from some of its sister car brands in the Fiat group, making cars that turn heads and turn heads.

More recently, Maserati has been trying to expand its range of family cars with its GranCabrio. Being known for luxury supercars and tasty little convertibles is great, but it can be hard to break away from the slight air of ridiculousness that comes with these expensive cars that don’t have a practical side. Now, though, it seems they’ve moved away from their traditional small, sleek numbers to produce a convertible that can at least fit four, albeit with a nudge.

First unveiled at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, this spirited Italian number is cut from a different pattern than the rest of the Maserati family. If you want a traditional car with two comfortable seats and a nimble engine, you’re probably better off opting for a used Maserati over this larger convertible option. You see, this one takes as much pride in space as it does in exterior, and aims to combine the two into one happy vehicle.

You lose some of those overly emphasized body curves when you fit two extra seats in a Maserati, and that famous low-to-the-ground seating position is raised accordingly to accommodate. Also, of course, a 4-seater sports car will always carry more weight than a 2-seater and may not reach top speed in the same amount of time. However, these minor niceties aside, you have a car your family could really appreciate, avoiding having to make two trips when practicality would come in handy.

All that said, I wouldn’t worry too much if the GranCabrio is too sensitive. It may have a practicality bonus, but underneath it’s still a sporty Maserati waiting to shine. The tires are still smart, the alloys amazing, and the looks it draws will almost always be appreciative!
