What is your antidote?

We live in a different social and economic reality than in recent years. What each individual is witnessing today in most countries is a massive expansion in the variety of options they can make. A simple or short-tempered decision can change the course of your life, even before you know it. There are many times when you view our choices as obstacles rather than opportunities to achieve and connect with our main goals in life. More than a few times we become victims of our negative self-talk. We conjure up stories of the reasons why we cannot achieve our desired goals, and we tend to believe that one day everything will fall into the right place.

Believing that one day you will achieve happiness or wealth by not acting in your life is the worst lie you can tell yourself. As Nietzsche says in the book “Man alone with himself”

“No one dies from fatal truths these days. There are too many antidotes.”

What is your antidote? In other words, what stands between you and the best version of yourself? The most common antidote, which people choose to take, consists of millions of visions of what their life “should be” like, as a result they go numb as they miss “the moment.” It is important to have a vision for yourself, but it is more than important to make that vision or purpose come true. Do not be left alone with the vision, repeating it over and over again in your brain, adjust it to your daily life, with shares.

Within each human being there are 2 fundamental functions. The first is the motivation to make things happen, the internal belief that you are here for a reason and in order to express ourselves you must act. The second refers to an invisible force that we all have within us, which kills our momentum. This force turns into excuses, ending up blaming our parents, our friends, the government, for our unattainable success.

Take a minute and bring up all the external reasons why you feel like they are backing down instead of moving you forward. To be most effective, straighten them out on a sheet of paper. Put a check mark where you can do something about it. To the extent that, what action will benefit you in solving the problem?

As always, there will be problems where you have no energy at the time. You can’t blame yourself for a rainy day. What you can do in those situations is laugh and focus on the things you can control. It is better to do something than nothing, start with something and your instincts will guide you.

Be honest with yourself, what is holding you back? What is your antidote?
