Grill recipes for weight loss that are healthy and delicious

Weight loss is not a particularly easy journey, especially if you are just starting out. You will be hungry and the cravings for tasty food will be hard to resist. Don’t deprive yourself of hearty meals: grill your fruits, vegetables or lean meat for tasty, smoky and satisfying dishes without feeling guilty about losing a few extra pounds.

Try these healthy and delicious grilled recipes for weight loss:

Turkey Burger with Kale and Mushrooms

What do you need:

  • 8 hamburger buns, preferably wheat

  • 1/2 kilogram ground turkey

  • 4 baby bella mushrooms

  • 2 cups fresh kale

  • 1/4 cup chopped sweet onion

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh oregano leaves

  • 1 tablespoon chimichurri sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Avocado slices, to serve

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the onion and garlic until tender. Add mushrooms and kale, then cover and cook until vegetables soften. Let cool. When ready, combine mushroom and kale mixture with ground turkey and season with oregano, chimichurri, and salt. With clean hands, form patties. Cook on preheated grill over medium-high heat, turning once, to desired doneness. Top buns with sauce of your choice, then top with turkey burger and avocado slices.

Grilled peaches with yogurt and honey

What do you need:

  • 3 peaches, halved and pitted

  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • Cinnamon powder

Combine Greek yogurt and honey in a small bowl. Set aside. Cook peaches on preheated grill over medium heat, cut side down, until grill marks appear. When ready, top the roasted peaches with honey and yogurt. Sprinkle with cinnamon powder before serving.

Grilled Beef and Sweet Potato Wraps

What do you need:

  • 6 whole wheat tortillas

  • 1/2 kilo sirloin steaks, thinly sliced

  • 6 cups cubed sweet potatoes, steamed

  • 3 cups thinly sliced ​​cabbage

  • 1 cup thinly sliced ​​white onion

  • 1 cup thinly sliced ​​fresh basil

  • 3 tablespoons lime juice

  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic hot sauce

  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

Cook beef on preheated grill over medium-high heat until cooked through (slightly pink in center), about 2 to 3 minutes per side. To prepare the dressing, combine the lime juice, soy sauce, canola oil, chili garlic sauce, and brown sugar in a mason jar and shake to combine well. Place cabbage and onion in a bowl and toss with half of the dressing. Arrange grilled beef, sweet potatoes, and coleslaw on a serving platter. Drizzle meat and sweet potatoes with remaining dressing. Serve with tortillas.
