Samsung’s Galaxy Tab is the perfect iPad alternative

Samsung has recently launched a new device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, running the latest Android operating system. It is an amazing gadget, due to the top-notch and remarkable features.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is at once a great communication device, an excellent portable web browser, an office productivity tool, and a powerful multimedia device.

Its TFT capacitive touch screen measures 7 inches and uses a configuration of 600×1024 pixels for a display of up to 16 million colors. Its built-in accelerometer makes it perfect for viewing images and HD video footage. The display comes along with TouchWiz user interface, proximity sensor, and multi-touch input method.

The main difference from its main competitor, Apple’s iPad, is that this device is also a mobile phone. Access to cellular networks is provided via GPRS and EDGE. With the included Bluetooth and micro USB connections, users can establish a connection with different hardware devices, including computers and mobile phones, for tasks such as transferring media files or backing up contact information.

The device has a 3.15 megapixel camera with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. The digital camera has LED flash and auto focus and allows users to record video footage. The tablet also features another camera on the front to be used as a video call camera or webcam.

The device runs on the Android 2.2 operating system, combined with a 1 Ghz processor, making it a perfect platform for further expansion and customization. With powerful hardware and software, and access to the Android Market, there are almost no limits in terms of versatility, productivity, and entertainment.
