The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is a huge hotel with a lot to see and do. It has more than 4000 rooms and suites and 19 restaurants and bars to choose from. It also has a spa, shows, and Madame Tussauds.From the moment visitors step foot into the resort, they are transported to a Venetian paradise, complete with cobblestone walkways, gondola-filled canals, and stunning replicas of famous Venetian landmarks. The attention to detail is impeccable, with every aspect of the resort meticulously designed to evoke the timeless charm of Venice.

What sets it apart is its over-the-top theme, including gondola rides and performers in Saint Mark’s Square, plus a huge shopping mall filled with canals. Kids will love it too. Couches in the suites pull out into full-size beds, and there’s a family-friendly theater lineup and plenty of activities for little ones.

Rooms are large and suite-style, with a separate bedroom separated by a privacy fence from the sunken living room. Most are 650-square-feet, among the largest on the Strip, and include three flat-screen TVs. Some have a balcony and a bathtub with a view of the Bellagio fountains.

All guests have access to a wide range of resort amenities, from the pool and spa to long-running large-scale shows. The hotel is close to the High Roller big wheel and the casinos on The Strip. Guests can get around easily on foot, though the hotel is a good distance from the McCarran Airport and other areas of town.

During Covid-19, the Venetian was very well prepared to maintain safety standards. The massive casino floor had plastic screens between seats to prevent people from touching each other, and alternate seats were occupied by croupiers rather than gamblers to maintain social distancing. The hotels restaurants were open, but some had reduced capacity to keep the numbers down and help maintain hygiene.

The property also had ample PPE available for guests at all times and signs indicating that they were required to wear it when entering certain spaces, including the spa. Despite the restrictions, it still felt very safe to spend time here, and most of the resort’s amenities were in full operation. It was also an ideal spot for families during the pandemic, thanks to its size and the number of restaurants that are suitable for young children. The only downside was the lengthy check-in and checkout lines, even for those with IHG status and a fast-track line.
