You can get your super gorgeous looks for your cheerleader makeup look as long as you follow a simple rule … use only ONE (or maybe two) of these ideas at a time. If you use too much, you risk the “cheap and shoddy” label. Cheerleader makeup can show off glamorous style and class, and every girl can look gorgeous with these expert tips!

Oh yeah, and before we start: there are two very important points I’d like to share with you about using glitter for your cheerleader makeup.

First, when applying glitter to the eyes, small amounts fall into the eyes, so use only “cosmetic grade” glitter. When glitter is labeled “cosmetic grade” glitter, it means that the sizes of the individual pieces of glitter are much smaller and much more refined than “artisan” quality glitter. There are no dangerous sharp corners that can make small hair-like cuts in the eye or cornea and allow an eye infection to develop.

Second, because you may be wearing glitter on your lips, technically you are probably EATING the glitter. PLEASE use only glitter made in the USA When glitter is made in other countries, it is not as thoroughly inspected as here in the USA. You cannot be sure what you are getting! Glitter makeup is an important part of the cheerleader costume. Using cosmetic grade glitter for your cheerleader makeup look may mean paying a bit more. However, you should use the highest quality gloss when it is around the delicate area of your eyes and lips.

1) On your body: Mix glitter with your body lotion and apply to your legs, arms, and collarbones … anywhere you want to shine!

2) Highlight Cheekbones: Apply glitter to cheekbones as a highlighter with adhesive.

3) Highlight cheekbones and brow bone: apply glitter to cheekbones and brow bone with adhesive.

4) On the lips: Mix the gloss with your lip gloss and apply it only on the lips or on any lipstick color.

5) Eye Corners: Apply a shiny silver or gold or white / iridescent glitter to the inner and outer corner of the eyes. This little accent brightens up the eyes and makes your cheerleader makeup really pop!

6) As Eyeliner: Apply glitter as eyeliner with glitter adhesive.

7) On the eyelid: apply glitter with a brush or with your finger on the eyelid over the eyeshadow for a subtle effect.

8) On hair: spray hairspray on hand, rub hands together, rinse hands

9) On lids and creases: Apply your favorite eyeshadow color (or team color!) All over the eyelid and up over the crease and then apply glitter adhesive on top. Use a makeup brush and apply a neutral shade of glitter over the entire lid and crease for intensely dramatic eyes.
